Office of the Chairman·
On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Chairman Dauda, attended the Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) Congress, where newly elected state executives were formally sworn in.
At the well-attended gathering, the Lagos State APC Executives, led by Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, took their oath of office alongside other members of the State Executive Committee. In addition, the 57 Local Government and Local Council Development Area (LGA/LCDA) APC Chairmen across Lagos State were duly sworn in, further consolidating the party's structure across the state.
Chairman Dauda extended congratulations to all executives inaugurated at the Congress, describing their emergence as a testament to the unity, internal democracy, and enduring strength of the APC in Lagos State.
He expressed particular pride in Ikeja's representatives — Barrister Teniola Ladigbolu, who was reaffirmed as Assistant Legal Adviser on the State Executive Working Committee, and Hon. Adetoro Adebowale, who was officially sworn in as Ikeja LGA APC Chairman — commending their dedication, competence, and loyalty to the party.
In his charge to the newly sworn-in executives, Chairman Dauda called for continued prioritisation of unity, inclusiveness, and effective grassroots mobilisation, noting that the strength of the APC has always been rooted in the people at the grassroots.
The Chairman reaffirmed that the Ikeja chapter would continue to operate through consultation, collaboration, and consensus-building as it works to strengthen party structures and uphold the progressive ideals that define the APC.
